Charleston Bridge Orientation
Congratulations on your decision to participate in Charleston Bridge. A required one-day orientation has been designed to help you successfully transition into college life and prepare for the academic challenge that awaits you. Family members are welcome to attend but are not required to. The orientation program is free to students and family members. During orientation, we will introduce you to many departments and resources and give you time to familiarize yourself with the College of Charleston campus. Orientation for Charleston Bridge students will be held on July 7, 2017.
Charleston Bridge orientation opened in MyCharleston on April 3. If you paid your tuition deposit, you will receive an email sent to your personal and College of Charleston email account with instructions about how to register for the Charleston Bridge orientation using the Charleston Bridge section of MyCharleston on the academic services tab. The deadline to register for the July 7th orientation is June 1, 2017.
Charleston Bridge students must register and attend this mandatory orientation in July. Family participation in orientation is optional.
During your day on campus you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet other students in the Charleston Bridge program
- Learn about student and academic support services
- Find out how to get involved in student life at the College of Charleston
- Enjoy a free lunch for you and your family in the Liberty Fresh Food Company
- Review your Fall 2017 Trident Technical College course schedule and finalize your schedule
- Hear details about the August residence hall move-in process
- Learn more about the program requirements, mandatory workshops and activities scheduled during the fall
Check-in for orientation is between 8:00 and 8:45 am in the Cougar Mall area near the center of campus. Orientation interns will be available to direct you to the check-in location and will be present at all of the orientation activities if you need any assistance. For the majority of the orientation schedule, students will have separate activities from family members.

To ensure we provide you with accurate information, please indicate in your email or if calling that you are a student in the Charleston Bridge program. Charleston Bridge Orientation is unique and students accepted to the bridge program may only attend orientation on July 7, 2017.
