Every year, the College of Charleston introduces over 2,000 incoming freshman and transfer students to the campus. The Office of New Student Programs would like to welcome you to the College of Charleston legacy, a family tradition since 1770. We strive to make your adjustment to student life successful. Now that you've officially been admitted, the College of Charleston invites you to participate in the new student orientation and learning to Live the Life as a College of Charleston student.
Orientation is a two-day program designed to help new students make a smooth transition to the College. All new students are expected to participate in orientation before classes begin. Check-in for orientation occurs in the Cougar Mall between Maybank Hall and the Robert Scott Small building. Additional information will be included in the informational booklet.
During orientation, students will have the chance to:
- meet other incoming students
- meet an academic advisor
- register for classes
- meet faculty from various programs on campus
- learn about the campus and the services that are offered
