New Student Orientation Housing
The College of Charleston Office of Residence Life and Housing offers housing for summer orientation sessions one through eight. They do not offer housing for summer orientation sessions 9 and 10 and the January orientation session since the students have already moved into their residence hall rooms.
During the summer orientations, staying on campus during orientation is a great way for students to make new friends and experience the College’s atmosphere. This fee is separate than the new student fee paid for orientation and must be paid to the Office of Residence Life and Housing. Staying on campus during orientation is designed to give students a preview of campus life, tips on how to navigate campus, and the chance to make new connections. Please note there are a limited number of rooms available.
Students interested in staying on campus during orientation can sign up by downloading the Residence Life summer orientation housing form and following the instructions for submission on the bottom of the form.

Note: On-campus housing is available for students attending the June and July orientation sessions only. On-campus housing is not available during the August sessions or the January session. Students attending those sessions will be able to move into their assigned school year housing.
Family Housing
The Office of Residence Life and Housing offers a limited number of rooms for family members to stay. The housing will NOT be in the same room as the student. This fee is separate than the new student or family orientation fee paid for orientation and must be paid to the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

Other Travel Information
Please note that the College does not offer a shuttle service from the airport to the campus. The airport does have a number of taxi and airport shuttle services available outside of the baggage claim area.
